From Concept to Reality

The Joint Veterans Support Committee group, which supports Florida National Cemetery, hosted a dedication ceremony for the memorial that was installed on December 10^th, 2024.

The memorial was escorted in for the delivery and installation, as well as for the dedication, by hundreds of Motorcycle riders from various veteran support groups across the state.

This is the second of more than a dozen planned memorials and monuments for the cemetery. The first one was the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument which was also designed, delivered, and installed by our team, in partnership with the Woody Williams Foundation.

Our project leaders-Mr. Wayne Rich and Mr. Doug Gardner of the JVSC, trusted PG Memorials to come up with a concept for this Monument which features PGHD laser etched images of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., taken by Charlie Isenhour of the Village of LaBelle, along with images of the Women’s Vietnam Memorial, the Three Servicemen Statue, Vietnam and the Vietnam Service Medal. Through many rounds with our skilled graphic artists, we captured the vision and sentiment made to be felt by those it speaks too.

Carefully selected wording to “Welcome Home” Vietnam Veterans from across the state of Florida, was etched as a reminder to all who visit, the sacrifices paid by these patriots.

May this monument be a solemn reminder and also offer a place of comfort, for those families and loved ones who continue to support and sacrifice for their country.
