From Concept to Reality

Picture This On Granite was proud to provide its expertise and services for the realization of the Fallen Warriors Granite Memorial Monument, located in Lompoc Valley, California, United States. This Memorial was 7 years in the making. Working with Committee Members to recognize Lompoc Valley Residents of the United States Armed Forces, either active or reserve, including the U.S. Coast Guard, who died in the line of duty. Aiming to remember in perpetuity all of their local military fallen who gave the last full measure of devotion in service to this nation.

The perfect example of a military memorial monument

For this long-term project, we work closely with the Committer members to make sure that the final results looked exactly as they pictured it. The final military memorial monument gathered  5 PG Certified^® Black Granite Pedestal Plaques, 80 PG Certified^® Veterans Granite Plaques, and one 24” Round PG Certified^® Black Granite Entrance Sign.

Also, measuring 33 feet in diameter, the courtyard floor was shaped using California Gold natural slate, fashioned in a 5-piece Versailles pattern. The crowns of the commemorative pedestals, the seating area, and the donor’s circle at the entrance are shaped from black-leathered granite. The pedestals’ bodies were formed by using an earth stone.
