We have helped design, build and install numerous Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments across the United States.

Located in Lovettsville, Virginia, USA, the Gold Star Families Granite Memorial Monuments includes 4 PG Certified® Custom Cut Black Granite Tablets,  4 PG Certified® Custom Cut Black Granite Bases, and one PG Certified® Black and Grey Granite Descriptive Legend.

The mission of One Family Brewing is to honor and recognize the families of Virginia’s fallen military Heroes with the building of a Gold Star Families Memorial Monument. GSFMM projects currently include the creation and implementation of Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments throughout the country. Soon there will be one of these Monuments in each State of the US. The original monument was established at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, in Dunbar, WV in 2013.

What is a Gold Star Family?

A Gold Star family is the title, which is reserved for families of military members who have died in the line of duty. It is meant to honor the service member’s ultimate sacrifice while acknowledging their family’s loss, grief and continued healing.

The organization dates back to WWI, when military families displayed service flags featuring a blue star for every immediate family member serving in the Armed Forces. Individual military family members who lost a loved one also started to be referred to as “Gold Star Wives,” “Gold Star Mothers,” and so on.
