We were proud to provide our expertise and services for the realization of the Peterborough Veteran Granite Memorial Monument, located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
The Veterans Wall of Honour was installed in Confederation Square in October 2010 to honour Peterborough’s veterans. The design includes twelve monumental granite stones arranged in a semi-circle around the Peterborough Cenotaph, inscribed with the names of 10,382 men and women who served Canada in World War I, World War II, and the Korean War.
The dedication ceremony took place on October 9, 2010. Picture This On Granite worked with Martel & Sons of Vankleek Hill, ON to layout and render the thousands of names that were to be PGHD laser etched onto black granite slabs, that were then adhered to granite monuments. Laser etching is a great option when you want to include so many veterans’ names into a dedicated space with unlimited choices in text font and size, it really is the best option for engraving.
