From Concept to Reality

The Services Memorial on the corner of 5^th and Mulberry, which was installed in the 70’s, became a victim of weather and time.  VFW Post 402 members assessed the value in repairing and decided replacing with an updated monument would be safer, easier to maintain, and more inclusive.

Their new Veterans War Memorial offers a full interactive memorial honoring all 6 branches of the United States Military Services, which have served during war time at home or abroad.  Their goal was to honor the roots of the VFW and the eight major military focuses since WW1.
