Picture This On Granite was proud to help build the Northbridge Vietnam Veterans Memorial. For this project, no detail were overlooked. Black Granite was chosen to give the Vietnam-era Memorial in Northbridge a connection to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., which is also made of Black Granite. The top edge of the center monolith is rocked to match the state Vietnam War Memorial in Worcester.
The PGHD® laser etching process is what makes this memorial come to life. The names of more than 400 men and women, who served during the Vietnam-era, are HD laser etched on the two – 60 inch x 96 inch x 8 inch thick side slabs of the monument, while the center monolith supports a 36 inch x 84 inch x 8 inch thick metal piece with a map of Vietnam, and the insignia of all branches of service. The side pieces were also sandblasted. The memorial was unveiled on Veterans Day – the 11th day in the 11th month of the 11th year at 11 a.m..
